Usain Bolt Loses An Olympic Gold Medal As Relay Teammate Fail Dope Test

Unic Press UK: Sprint legend Usain Bolt is required to return one of his nine Olympic Gold Medals after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) ruled that Nesta Carter failed a dope test, tested tested positive for a banned stimulant called methylhexaneamine.

Bolt’s teammate, Carter was a member of the Jamaican team at the 2008 Olympic Games held in Beijing, China. This means the 4x100m relay Gold Medal, which the Jamaican team won at the 2008 Games will be returned by Bolt and others in the relay team, diminishing the priceless collections of sprint king, Usain Bolt.

Excerpt of the statement by the IOC disciplinary commission reads:

“[Carter] is disqualified from the men’s 4x100m relay event in which he participated upon the occasion of the Olympic Games Beijing 2008. The Jamaican team is disqualified from the men’s 4x100m relay event. The corresponding medals, medallist pins and diplomas are withdrawn and shall be returned.”
