
ABUJA, Federal Republic of Nigeria. A group of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), under the aegis of Anti-Corruption Coalition (ACC) has given the embattled Chairrman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ibrahim Lamorde seven days ultimatum to appear before the Senate to defend himself.
The body said the ultimatum was to ensure that he answers the series of corruption allegations levelled against him or resign.
In a statement released weekend and signed by its protem National Coordinator, Comrade Mohammed Saliu, the group wondered why the embattled EFCC boss would think that his silence would make Nigerians forget the alleged fraud.
