Unic Press: Multiple sources, including locals and news organisations, have reported that criminals murdered/beheaded at least 67 people on Saturday in a farm settlement, a rice field precisely in Borno state, northeast region of the country.
The horrific incident took place at Zabarmari in the Jere local government area of Borno State as innocent people were harvesting their produce. The exact number of the dead is not yet confirmed by the state authorities; and could be much more than 67, because many people are missing.
Reacting yesterday evening to the terrible murder of innocent people in rice fields at Zabarmari, President Muhammadu Buhari said:
“I condemn the killing of our hardworking farmers by terrorists in Borno State. The entire country is hurt by these senseless killings. My thoughts are with their families in this time of grief. May their souls Rest In Peace,” a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media/Publicity, Garba Shehu, read.
Sadly,💔President @MBuhari and his failed cabinet rebuilt North and turned Arewa to an ABATTOIR where people are massacred on daily, raped on daily and kidnapped on daily. Today 40+ victims involved in #ZabarmariMassacre in Borno. Retweet Aggressively. pic.twitter.com/rnNxLt9PiZ

It is either we organise bloodless revolution & get systems working or there will be a bloody revolution that will consume us all and that revolution will come from the North. These killings are revolution in themselves. The neglected ones are now fighting the nation with terror

I blame arewa for tolerating this level of insecurity. By the time each and every household, in each and every state is engulfed in it, perhaps then we will wake up and defend ourselves against this barbaric attacks & kidnappings. Clearly, no end in sight. #ZabarmariMassacre

As we speak, no official word on the #ZabarmariMassacre. We have run out of leadership, our leadership has run out of “we condemn” and “will bring them to book”. Empty words have been found out. We clearly need a new way. Even those alive are mentally terrorised. This isn’t it!
