Unic Press UK: United States President, Donald Trump, denied Tuesday the allegations by the Venezuelan Government that the U.S. had attempted an invasion.
“Whatever it is, we’ll let you know,. But it has nothing to do with our government,” said President Trump, who spoke to media representatives in Washington.
It was on Sunday that the Venezuelan Minister of Interior, Nestor Reverol, said his country’s forces had circumvented an attempt by foreign mercenaries from Colombia to invade its territory through the Port of La Guaira. In a televised speech, Reverol said:
“They tried to carry out an invasion by sea, a group of foreign mercenaries from Colombia, to commit terrorist acts in the country and murder leaders of this revolutionary government.”
In a recent development today, Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, claimed that two U.S. nationals were captured along with a group of “mercenaries” involved in an invasion plot to assassinate him.
