GOMBE, Federal Republic of Nigeria. Troops from the Nigerian Army have arrested the masterminds of Jos and Zaria gun and bomb attacks.
Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, said following the bomb and gun attacks, troops from the 3 Division of Nigerian Army cordoned off the areas, especially along Bauchi, Gombe and the North Eastern part of the country.
According to him, the successful operation of the 3 Division, the Special Task Force as well the Department of the State Security led to the arrest of the masterminds of the terrorist acts at a check-point in Dadin Kowa Gombe state.
The army spokesman said that the terrorist kingpin and his colleagues who hid in a trailer were arrested by troops of the Nigerian Army.
Usman added that the arrested terrorists are currently being interrogated for further action.
