President Muhammadu Buhari returned to his home country Nigeria on Saturday, the 19th August 2017, after spending a hundred and five days’ in the United Kingdom on medical grounds.
Buhari, who entered London, UK, on the 7th day of May 2017, on a medical leave, was treated for an unspecified ailment. All calls that he should be open about his state of health did not elicit any concrete disclosure by either Buhari or the Nigerian presidency.
During his stay in the UK, there were several protests in Nigeria and in the UK by Nigerians who felt that the Nigerian President had spent a long time outside the country he was elected to govern.
