Unic Press UK: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted administrative bail to former governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sheriff, who was questioned for circa eight hours on Wednesday, the 15th June, at the EFCC zonal office in Maiduguri.
The allegation against Sheriff is that he received N40 million out of a N450 million that was shared in Borno State for 2015 general elections by former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Allison Madueke.
The EFCC is currently investigating circa N23 billion that they believe was shared by former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Allison Madueke. It is alleged that out of the N23 billion, the share of Borno State was N450 million, and Sheriff is alleged to have received N40 million.
