
Unic Press UK: Real Madrid FC defeated Atletico Madrid FC in San Siro, Milan, to win the Champions League for a record 11th time.
Real Madrid scored first at the 15 minutes of play through their skipper, Sergio Ramos, but Atletico Madrid equalized on the 79 minutes per substitute Yannick Carrasco thereby sending the Champions League final into extra-time.
At the end of extra-time, the status remained a score draw. Real Madrid 1 – 1 Atletico Madrid (AET). Hence penalty shooting ensued.

Real Madrid started the penalty shooting, and scored all five through Lucas Vazquez, Marcelo Vieira da Silva, Gareth Bale, Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo.
