ABUJA, Federal Republic of Nigeria. (Unic Press UK) — The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Gabon national, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the 2015 African Footballer at a ceremony in Abuja.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 26yo, garnered 143 points to defeat the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2015, Ivorian legend Yaya Toure, 32yo.
Yaya Toure earned 136 points. Ghana’s Andre Ayew took the third position with 112 points.
Aubameyang is a Gabonese professional footballer who plays as a striker for the German club Borussia Dortmund and the Gabon national football team. He was born on 18/06/1989 in France.
