
ABUJA, Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that its ticket for the 2019 presidential election has been zoned to the north.
The PDP acting National Chairman Secondus, who made the disclosure while receiving the post-2015 election report from the committee headed by the Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu on Wednesday in Abuja also described the continued non-appointment of ministers by the President Buhari, even at the end of September promised deadline as evidence the lack of seriousness on the matter.
He accused President Buhari of toying with the feelings of Nigerians and playing to the gallery over the issue.
Speaking on the report, Secondus said that National Working Committee (NWC) is aligning itself with the committee’s recommendations to approve the zoning of presidential ticket to the north as part of efforts to redeem the fortunes of the opposition party.
He said that the submission of report marked a turning point in the party’s struggle in the last 16 years.
