ABUJA, Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, has sacked the eight Group Executive Directors of the corporation.
It was also learnt that Kachikwu has reduced the number of executive directors in the NNPC to four.
This news comes only one day after President Buhari appointed Kachikwu as the Group Managing Director of the NNPC.
The executive directors removed were Mr. Ian Udoh, GED, Refining and Petrochemicals; Mr. Adebayo Ibirogba, GED, Engineering and Technical team; Dr. David Ige, GED, Gas and Power; Dr. Attahir Yusuf, GED, Business Development; Dr. Dan Efebo, GED, Corporate Services; Mr. Bernard Otti, GED, Finance and Accounts; Ms. Aisha Abdurrahman, GED, Commerce and Investments and Mr. Joseph Dawha, GED, Exploration and Production.
They were replaced by Mr. Denis Nnamdi, GED Exploration and Production; Bankole Komolafe, GED Commercial and Investment; Isiaka Abdulrazak, GED Finance, M.K. Baru, GED Refining and Engineering.
