Rivers  State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, Prostrated Before ’Lion of Bourdillon’ Bola Tinubu. [Is Amaechi A Comedian?]

LAGOS, Federal Republic of Nigeria. Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that he knelt down and begged the leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for forgiveness over their disagreement during the last general election won by APC.

Amaechi, who disclosed this during the launch of his book, “Dynamics of Change: The Amaechi Years,”  further said that he went with the Governor-elect of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, to beg Tinubu to facilitate the reconciliation in the ex-governor’s home in Lagos.

According to him, “I knew I was going to be in trouble, anything that would cause that change not to take place, I was ready to make that sacrifice. One day, Asiwaju got angry with me, he was very angry. I went to his house with El-Rufai; I went to his house and knelt down saying, ‘please, let’s not disagree; let’s win first and then we can disagree.”

Amaechi also said that he feared he would be jailed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if Muhammadu Buhari had lost the March 28 presidential election.

Amechi described his and his co-travelers political triumph over the PDP as a “civilian coup”, which Tinubu had helped to bring about.

This is coming on the heels of an earlier report that the acclaimed Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, revealed that he was told to warn the Rivers State governor before the 2015 general elections.
