Unic Press UK: Gareth Bale, 31-year-old, has joined his former club Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan after a 7-year period in La Liga’s top club Real Madrid, where he won lots of trophies, including four UEFA Champions League Cup.
“Bale spent six seasons with Spurs between 2007 and 2013, scoring 42 goals and providing 20 assists in 146 Premier League appearances. In 2012/13, Bale scored 21 goals in 33 top-flight matches, winning the Premier League Player of the Season award. Spurs say a knee injury suffered with Wales this month means they expect Bale to be match fit after the October international break for Matchweek 9, when they face Manchester City” – Premier League.
Spurs also signed Sergio Reguilon, who hitherto was a Real Madrid player.
