Unic Press UK: The Sokoto Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has confirmed the death of an inspector and a divisional police officer, both men attached to the Gidan Madi Division, Tangaza Local Government Area, Sokoto.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday, the Sokoto Police Command spokesman, DSP Sadiq Abubakar, said the Gidan Madi Division of the NPF was attacked by unknown gunmen garbed in army camouflage at circa 01:30AM, leading to the death of DPO Aliyu Bello (Mr) and Inspector Muhammad Abdullahi (Mr), the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The Police spokesman reassured the members of the public that the NPF is committed to safeguarding people’s lives and property; and appealed for assistance with useful information to the Police.
