Unic Press UK: Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, announced Monday that he’s COVID-19 positive, adding to the number of state governors that are forced into self-isolation over the coronavirus (SARS-Cov-2) pandemic.

Also on Twitter, the Governor said that a former Chief Medical Director of the University College, Ibadan, Prof Temitope Alonge is to, henceforth, serve as the State’s Head of COVID-19 Task Force.
Makinde is not the only Governor forced into self-isolation by this viral pandemic. The others are the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.
As at 21:00 GMT today, Monday 30 March 2020, there are 131 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, with 2 confirmed dead. In Nigeria, Lagos State is currently the epicentre of this deadly disease.
