Unic Press UK: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday wore a yellow hazmat suit with other protective gear as he visited a Moscow hospital, where patients are receiving treatment for the COVID-19, a disease caused by coronavirus SARS-Cov-2.
Putin, who, with the hospital’s head physician Denis Protsenko, moved around the premises, said the management “know what to do, how to do it, have everything they need and can effectively use existing equipment,” the RT reports.
Coronavirus SARS-Cov-2 has been spreading like wildfire, causing the deaths of many since December 2019 when it surfaced in Wuhan Province, China.
In the UK, 8,077 tested positive for coronavirus, with 422 deaths as of the report Tuesday.
In the U.S., the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention report Tuesday notes that in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and US Virgin Islands, there are 44,183 confirmed cases and 544 deaths.
As at 22 March, circa 5,000 confirmed dead in Italy. Iran’s figure is more that 1,500 deaths. These figures have since increased rapidly.
