Unic Press UK: UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has issued a stern warning on the need for everyone to follow the Government’s guidance/guidelines towards a collection national effort aimed at stopping the rapid spread of a coronavirus SARS-Cov-2, which causes COVID-19 and avoiding a more dangerous situation in the event that the National Health Service (NHS) is overwhelmed.
In a statement Saturday, Johnson said: “The numbers are very stark, and they are accelerating. The Italians have a superb health care system. And yet their doctors and nurses have been completely overwhelmed by the demand. The Italian death toll is already in the thousands and climbing. Unless we act together, unless we make the heroic and collective national effort to slow the spread – then it is all too likely that our own NHS will be similarly overwhelmed.”
Some of the guidance/guidelines/advice for people as the Government battles on to defeat this disease COVID-19 are:
- reducing unnecessary social contact.
- stay at home for 7 days if you think you have the symptoms; and stay at home for 14 days if anyone in your household has either of the symptoms – a new, continuous cough or a high temperature.
- avoid pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants.
- work from home if at all possible.
- keep washing your hands – Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds during each run, and do so more frequently.
- Catch sneezes/coughs in tissues and drop into a bin.
