Unic Press UK: Supreme Court of Nigeria would commence hearing of the appeal filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate Atiku Abub kar, challenging the presidential election that was held this year, in which, Muhammadu Buhari was declared duly elected to be president by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The appellants had, in September, filed sixty-six grounds of appeal in Nigeria’s highest court of law, challenging a unanimous decision 11 September 2019 by a 5-man panel of the Presidential Election Tribunal led by Justice Mohammed Garba that upheld the election of Muhammadu Buhari as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
