Justice Taiwo ruled that the defendant, Sowore, must deposit his international passport with the registry of the court; and released to his counsel, Femi Falana (SAN), who would be responsible to produce Sowore before to court to answer a seven-count charge before the court.

The charges against Sowore includes money laundering, insulting the Nigerian president, fraud, and treasonable felony.
