Unic Press UK: The Federal Government of Nigeria has dissolved the Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property (SPIP).
In a statement Tuesday, the Special Adviser to the President for Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina said that President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice to take over all outstanding investigations and other activities of the SPIP with immediate effect.
Prior to its dissolution today, the SPIP was under the chairmanship of Okoi Obono-Obla, a legal practitioner who is under investigation by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC).
