In a tweet Monday, the Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali al-Hakim said the U.S. moves for an international force to secure the Persian Gulf is a threat to peace as Arab states’ are capable of safeguarding the area. He wrote:
“Iraq rejects the participation of the Zionist forces in any military force to secure the passage of ships in the Arabian Gulf. Together, the Arab Gulf states are able to secure the passage of ships in the Gulf.” (Translated by Google)
