Unic Press UK: Iran has seized two ships in the Strait of Hormuz. One, a British-flagged oil tanker, Stena Impero, with 23 crew members, was surrounded by four vessels and a helicopter. The other ship is Mesdar, a Liberian-flagged [but British-managed] ship with 25 crew members was surrounded by 10 speed boats, the UK Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt said.
The UK government’s emergency committee, Cobra, met on Friday to discuss the incident. It is not very clear yet whether two ships or one had been impounded given that the news from Iran’s new agencies are pointing to only 1 oil tanker.
