[VIDEO]: “RUGA Settlement” Is A Dangerous Agenda To Islamize & Fulanize Nigeria – Onovo

Unic Press UK: A former presidential candidate and eminent consulting engineer, Martin Onovo says that the Muhammadu Buhari-led Nigerian government has an agenda of “Islamization and Fulanization” of Nigeria.

In an interview with a United States-based news medium Sahara Reporters, Chief Onovo, who is known for his blunt and unequivocal views in discussing the state of the country Nigeria, said that an evil agenda masked as RUGA Settlement is, in the simplest terms, “Islamization and Fulanization.”

“They want to take your land, create a Fulani territory, and takeover your state. That’s all. It’s a land grabbing agenda. That is the “Islamization and Fulanization,” Onovo said in reference to the proposed RUGA Settlement being pursued by the Federal Government.

Accusing the Federal Government (FG) of trying to impose illegal settlements in the thirty-six states of the Republic, Onovo said that the ownership of land is settled law given the Supreme Court ruling and interpretation of the Land Use Act that the lands belong to state governments.

The former presidential candidate Onovo said that the agenda of the FG to forcefully seize ancestral lands in many places, including in Benue State where the Federal Ministry of Agriculture had erected a signpost indicating an area earmarked for RUGA Settlement, is “brigandage, banditry and terrorism.”

Onovo emphasized that the agenda to fulanize and Islamize Nigeria is in the open as expressed by the aides to the Nigerian president and the several warnings issued by eminent Nigerians like emeritus Professor Ben Nwabueze, retired General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (GCON), and a former Nigerian president retired General Olusegun Obasanjo.

The former presidential candidate, Chief Onovo drew the attention of the public to the statement issued in July 2018 by President Buhari’s aide Femi Adesina, who advocated on Africa Independent Television (AIT) programme that Nigerians should give up their ancestral lands to avoid being killed. “Ancestral attachment? You can only have ancestral attachment when you are alive. If you are talking about ancestral attachment, if you are dead, how does the attachment matter,” Mr Adesina said during an interview with AIT in July 2018.

Onovo said the Nigerian people should shun parochial interests and self-destructive actions; and strongly oppose the Nigerian government’s RUGA Settlement, which he believes to be an agenda to fulanize and Islamize Nigeria.
