Gay Marriage: Ban On Gay Sex Upheld By Kenya Court

Unic Press UK: A panel of three judges unanimously ruled that there’s no sufficient evidence of discrimination against the gay people by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, thereby affirming that the subsisting laws relating to gay marriage in the country truly represents the views, cultures and values of its people.

Judge Roselyne Aburili said that any same-sex couples living in Kenya would be violating the constitution and that there was no scientific proof LGBT people were “born that way,” the UK Guardian reports.

“We hereby decline the relief sought and dismiss the combined petition. We find that the impugned sections are not unconstitutional, accordingly the combined petitions have no merit,” the ruling further reads.

South Africa is currently the only state in the African continent to have legalized gay marriage.
