No Possibility Of Talks Between U.S. & Iran – Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif

Unic Press UK: Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif said Thursday that there won’t be talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling the U.S. a “bully.”

Zarif, who’s on a 2-day tour of Asia, spanning through Turkmenistan, India, China and Japan, spoke to the reporters of some news outlets in Tokyo, decrying any form of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran.

“… there is no possibility for negotiations. This is the first time in history that a bully is telling everybody else, important countries, that ‘I’m going to punish you if you observe something that I do not like. Let us assume that a bully is standing in a cross section on the street and telling everybody, ‘If you don’t pass the red light, I’m going to beat you.’ This is exactly what the US is telling them,” Kyodo News reports.

There has been serious tensions between the two countries since May 8, 2018 when the U.S. President Donald Trump inked an Executive Order that terminated the U.S. participation in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and followed up U.S. sanctions against Iran. Trump has been claiming that the JCPOA – Iran nuclear deal – had been a bad one for the world and America, insisting that a new agreement is long overdue.
