Unic Press UK: The Nigerian Senate has confirmed President Muhammadu Buhari appointment of Mr. Godwin Emefiele for a second term of office as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor.
Senate reverts to Plenary and and reports progress.

Emefiele, the incumbent CBN Governor, has been in office since the first week of June 2014 when his first tenure of office – a five-year term – commenced.
Given that the first term of five years ends in a few weeks, President Muhammadu Buhari had, via a letter to the Nigerian Senate, communicated the re-appointment of Emefiele, and requested a Senate confirmation.
