Unic Press UK: The Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro has congratulated the military for “defeating” a ‘putsch’ masterminded by self-proclaimed president Juan Guaido, who led the opposition forces during protests yesterday.

Maduro also said he spoke with the leaders of the military and National Bolivarian Armed Forces of Venezuela, who have expressed their total loyalty to the people and to the Constitution.
The United States and several EU countries have since recognized Juan Guaido – the opposition leader that declared himself interim president on January 23, 2019 – as legitimate head of Venezuela, and handed over control of the Venezuelan assets to him (Guaido). And the Venezuelan government has alleged that the U.S. meddles in its affairs in hope of exploiting it and profiting from the country’s massive oil/gas reserves.
However, many countries, including Russia, Mexico, Turkey, China do not recognize Guaido, so still dealing with the elected president Nicholas Maduro.
