Kim Jong Un Chat & Dine With Donald Trump, But Talks Collapse

Unic Press UK: The United States president, Donald Trump and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un had dinner together and begun crucial talks on nuclear disarmament as they seek to make further progress in the 2nd U.S.-North Korea nuclear summit holding in Vietnam.

The initial talks began at 18:30, February 27, local time, in Metropole Hotel, according to the official news agency of North Korea, KCNA.

During the second day of talks, it appears that both leaders are miles away and no serious agreement has been reached.

“Sometimes you have to walk and this is just one of those times,” an unusually downbeat Trump told reporters. Basically, they wanted the sanctions lifted in their entirety and we couldn’t do that,” President Trump told journalists.

Speaking to reporters in the capital city of Vietnam “Hanoi” , the North Korean Foreign Minister, Ri Yong Ho said they (North Korea) made a commitment to “permanently and completely dismantle all the nuclear production facilities” in Yongbyon if the U.S. puts a kibosh on sanctions.

During the 1st U.S.-North Korea nuclear summit in June 2018, the leaders had signed a document and agreed on sustainable stability and peace on the Korean Peninsula; a complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula; an end to the joint war games on the Korean Peninsula between the U.S. and the Republic of South Koreans; and an enhanced relations between the two countries.
