The Indian pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman in custody of Pakistani authorities has been confirmed by India. He was captured after ejecting from Indian fighter jet MiG-21 and landing in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir
The current tensions between the two countries that are well armed with nuclear weapons started after Indian forces bombarded a JEM/terrorist training camp at Balakot in Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region, and the blitzkrieg triggered a military response from the Pakistani forces.
