Unic Press UK: The German chancellor Angela Merkel is advocating broader talks on disarmament and arms control that would have the People’s Republic of China in the mix.
Speaking on Saturday during the Munich Security Conference, Merkel said that disarmament talks should go beyond having only two key participants – the United States and the Russian Federation – as China is in a position to add value to arms control, global stability and balance of power that the talks seeks to achieve.
According to the Global Firepower’s military strength ranking 2018, the top three military powers are the United States, the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.
