Nigeria Police Force: Vehicular Movement Restricted During General Election 2019

Unic Press UK: The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) says a restriction on vehicular movement from 06:00 HRS to 18:00 HRS on Saturday, February 16, shall apply nationwide during the Nigeria General Election 2019.

The Police chief, Abubakar Mohammed Adamu ordered the restriction to ensure safety and effective policing throughout the period of the General Election in a way that will checkmate hoodlums and any criminally-minded element who might be plotting to disrupt the General Election and the electoral process.

The Police is warning everyone to eschew vote buying, vote selling, hate speeches, circulating fake news, snatching of ballot boxes and other act(s) capable of truncating the people’s will.

The Nigeria Police Force is also urging all eligible voters to exercise their civic duty on election day without any fear, adding that adequate security measures are in place as its conventional personnel, the Air Wing, Marine, Tactical squad, Intelligence unit is ready to provide a free, credible & violence-free elections.
