PDP Accuse APC/INEC Of Plotting To Rig; Announce Its Strategies To Avert Rigging

Unic Press UK: The leading opposition party in Nigeria, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has mapped out a range of plans that it would deploy to prevent massive rigging during the Nigeria General Election 2019.

In a press statement Wednesday, the PDP Campaign Spokesperson and Chairman of Strategy Committee of the Presidential Campaign, Osita Chidoka announced a series of measures, including the use of a Parallel Voting Tabulation (PVT), situation rooms, call centres, deployment of party agents in all the 176,000 polling units, SMS technologies, reports in real-time, a nation-wide hotline, and many others.

Last week, the PDP’s national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan alleged that the Nigerian government and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are massively plotting to use the law enforcement agencies to “intimidate, harass and manhandle Nigerians” who are against the self-succession bid of President Muhammadu Buhari, threatening to withdraw from its signatory with regard to the national peace accord.

Nigeria General Election 2019 would hold on Saturday, the 16th February 2019, from 08:00 AM (Lagos time).

Williams and Associates, a notable Opinion Research & Consulting based in the United States also predicts that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar would win the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 if the contest is “free and fair.”

Unic Press UK second poll, which was conducted 7 days before the election, illustrates a landslide victory for the former vice president of Nigeria and PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate and former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi. The poll is a remarkable shift from the initial poll in January that was published on February 3, revealing a “narrow victory” for the PDP’s presidential candidate.
