Unic Press UK: Boxing legend, 41-year-old Floyd Mayweather Jr. of United States defeated Japanese kick-boxer, 20-year-old Tenshin Nasukawa during an exhibition boxing match on the New Year’s eve [Monday] at the Saitama Super Arena, Saitama City, Japan.

The match was strictly boxing [punches] with Mayweather’s hitherto boxing record 50-0 and Nasukawa unbeaten record 28-0 in professional kickboxing and mixed martial arts not affected by this result.

In his comments, Mayweather, who earned $9 million (£7 million) for this fight to happen, said:

“It was all about entertainment – we had fun. The fans in Japan, they wanted this to happen, so I said why not. Once again, I’m still retired. I don’t look forward to coming back to boxing. This won’t go on my record. It won’t go on Tenshin’s record. Tenshin is still undefeated. I’m still undefeated.”
