Canadian Intelligence Listened To Tape On Jamal Khashoggi Murder – Prime Minister

Unic Press UK: Canadian intelligence listened to audio recordings of the death of Saudi-born journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered inside the Saudi Consulate in Turkey.

Speaking to journalists’ in Paris, where he attended the Armistice [Centenary] Day on Sunday – the 11th November 2018 – along with several world leaders to mark 100 years since the end of World War One, the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau said:

“Canada’s intelligence agencies have been working very closely on this issue with the Turkish intelligence and Canada has been fully briefed on what Turkey had to share. And I had a conversation with President Erdoğan just a couple of weeks ago over the phone, and here in Paris we had brief exchanges, in which, I thanked him for his strength in responding to the Khashoggi situation. We would continue to engage with our allies on the investigation into accountability on the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.”

Prior to his departure to attend the Armistice Day in Paris, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said:

“We gave the tapes; we gave them to Saudi Arabia, to the United States, the Germans, French and the British; all of them. They have listened to the conversations in them. They know. There’s no need to distort this issue. They know for certain that the killer, or the killers, is among these 15 people.”

Turkish national authorities have repeatedly accused the Saudi Arabian government of killing Jamal Khashoggi, who had walked into the Saudi Arabian embassy in Istanbul on October 2, 2018 to carry out paperwork ahead of his marriage to a Turkish national, but did not exit the building thereafter.

After circa two weeks’ of denying the allegations of murder, the Saudi government facing scathing condemnation by state actors and institutions suddenly confessed that Mr Jamal Khashoggi was indeed killed inside its consulate in Istanbul, saying that Khashoggi died during a fistfight.
