Iran Will Survive & Advance: Zarif Tells Pompeo

Unic Press UK: It was on May 8, 2018 that the United States withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA), which was inked in 2015 by the Islamic Republic of Iran, the European Union and the P5+1 countries – China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, insisting that the deal was bad for the world and America. The U.S. said then that a new deal must be agreed, otherwise punitive sanctions would be re-imposed on Iran.

The U.S. sanctions have come into effect with Mike Pompeo saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran leadership has to alter its behaviour if “they want their people to eat.”

Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif has reacted to the statement credited to the United States Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo.

In a tweet Saturday via his official Twitter account, Zarif said: “#WeWontForget @SecPompeo openly threatening to starve Iranians—a crime against humanity. . .”

A few days ago, the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani while addressing the directors and deputies of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance on Monday had accused the United States of using “the language of force, pressure, and threats to speak to the great Iranian nation,” vowing to break the sanctions and punish the U.S.
