Unic Press UK: The Nigerian Army said that the missing body of the immediate past Chief of Administration (Army), Major General Idris Alkali, has been found.
In a statement Wednesday, the Nigerian Army Deputy Director (Public Relations), Col Kayode Ogunsanya said:
“Based on this credible information, cordon and search operation was planned to one of the abandoned wells located at Duchwet Village, Shen District in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State in conjunction with the Nigerian Police and Fire Service. After evacuation of the water in the abandoned well, the remains of the senior officer was found in a sack ladden with heavy stones. Thereafter, the remains of the senior officer was recovered from the abandoned well and taken to 3 Division Medical Hospital and Services awaiting further directives from the Army Headquarters.”
Major General Idris Alkali was declared missing on September 3. And the Nigeria Army headquarters set up a team to find General Alkali dead or alive; recover his car – a Toyota Corolla; and bring to book those responsible for what has happened to him.
