PDP Picks Peter Obi As Vice-Presidential Candidate

Unic Press UK: A former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has been named the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Obi would therefore fly the party’s flag along with the Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The choice of a Vice-Presidential Candidate has been confirmed by Gbenga Daniel, the Director-General of the Atiku Campaign Organization, who wrote Friday on his Facebook page. “Congratulations to His Excellency Peter Obi. Atiku picks Peter Obi as his Vice Presidential Candidate. #LetsGetNigeriaworkingAGAIN,” Daniel said.

Obi, who is married and has children, is a notable successful investor and entrepreneur. He studied at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (B.A. Philosophy); Columbia Business School, New York, U.S.A. (Marketing Mgmt); Oxford University; Lagos Business School; Harvard Business School, Boston, U.S.A.; London School of Economics (Financial Mgmt/Business Policy); Institute for Management Development, Switzerland (Senior Executive Program); Kellogg Graduate School of Management, U.S.A.; and so on.
