PDP Will Win 2019 Presidential Election, Says Senate President

Unic Press UK: The Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria said Wednesday in Ilorin, the capital city of Kwara state, that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the 2019 Presidential Election.

Speaking at the Banquet Hall, the Senate President Bukola Saraki assured the PDP members of equity, fairness, justice and internal democracy.

It is still unclear whether Saraki would contest the presidential primaries of the PDP; and he has yet to make public his future political aspiration.

Nigeria’s 2019 General Elections, in which a new president will be elected, will hold on Saturday, the 16 February 2019, at 08:00 hrs (GMT+1). Some of the top contenders for the office of president are:

Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He’s one of the notable men who decamped from the APC after falling out with the presidency.

MARTIN ONOVO, a consulting engineer who was trained in the United States cum Nigeria. He was a presidential candidate in 2015. In July, the entire South West regional bloc of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) named Onovo as “The Face of the New Nigeria”.

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano state. He is one of the Senators who recently decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC), joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
