Report On Unlawful Siege Of Lawmakers’ Official Complex: Nigeria Police

Unic Press UK: The Inspector General of Nigeria Police Force, Ibrahim Idris, is reported to have, on Thursday, submitted a report to the acting President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, on the recent siege of the National Assembly Complex, Abuja, by personnel of the State Security Services (SSS).

Herein is the Police report dated August 8, 2018, which is now viral on several online and print media.

On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, there was a siege of the National Assembly Complex, Abuja, [the meeting place of the two houses of Nigeria’s bicameral legislative body] by heavily armed personnel of the State Security Service (SSS) most of whom wore a balaclava during an unlawful operation – a blockage of the main entrance gate to the lawmakers’ official meeting place. T

Same day of the illegal invasion of the lawmakers’ meeting place by security agents, Lawal Daura was sacked by the acting President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo.

Following the termination of Daura appointment, Matthew Seiyefa was named the acting Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS) of Nigeria.
