Ukraine To Receive $200m In Security Cooperation Funds From U.S. Govt

Unic Press UK: The United States Defense Department has announced that a $200 million in “security cooperation funds” will be delivered to Ukraine.

With this fresh $200 million, the total U.S. security sector assistance to Ukraine from 2014 to date is currently in excess of $1 billion, the Defense Department wrote on its website.

“The added funds will provide equipment to support ongoing training programs and operational needs, including capabilities to enhance Ukraine’s command-and-control, situational awareness systems, secure communications, military mobility, night vision and military medical treatment,” the U.S. Defense Department added.

Ukraine is pro Europe. The country’s national security structure is being formulated in a manner that aligns with the framework and principles of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
