France Won 2018 FIFA World Cup, Defeat Croatia 4-2

Unic Press UK: The French national team has been crowned champion of the 2018 FIFA World Cup after defeating Croatia 4-2 in the final match played today in the host country Russian Federation.

France national team manager Didier Deschamp, who was captain of the French national team, today became the third person in football history to win the FIFA World Cup as a player and again as a coach after Germany’s Franz Beckenbauer and Brazil’s Mario Zagallo.

The match was very interesting, despite a pitch invasion by a few football ‘hooligans’, the Croatia own goal; and a clanger by the French keeper which resulted in the second goal scored by Croatia.

The French winger, 19-yo Mbappe is the second youngest player to score in a World Cup final. The first being soccer legend and Brazilian forward Edson Arantes do Nascimento [Pele] in 1958 when he was only 17.
