Unic Press UK: The party chairmanship candidature of the former Edo State Governor Adam Oshiomhole in National Convention scheduled to hold on 23 June has been endorsed by the State governors’ under the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Speaking to reporters in Abuja, the Governor of Kebbi State Atiku Bagudu confirmed the governors’ support for Oshiomhole, describing the former Edo State Governor as “experienced in all aspects of national life”, the Voice of Nigeria reports.
The current leadership of the party had moved in February to extend the tenure of office of the current office holders, but was forced to convene a National Convention after the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari withdrew support for an extension.
The National Convention of the All Progressive Congress (APC) will hold on 23 June 2018 to elect fresh national office holders, among attend other serious businesses.
