U.S.-North Korea Nuclear Summit: Kim, Trump Meet In Singapore, Sign Historic Document

Unic Press UK: The nuclear summit between the United States President and the Supreme Leader of the Democratic Republic of Korea (DPRK) was held today on the island of Sentosa in Singapore.

During the summit, which the mainstream media had often referred to as ‘Nuclear Summit’, the two leaders’ signed a document, which the U.S. President described as a “pretty comprehensive document”.

Given the “comprehensive document” that Trump and Jong-Un have signed, both countries have agreed on sustainable stability and peace on the Korean Peninsula; a complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula; an end to the joint war games on the Korean Peninsula between the U.S. and the Republic of South Koreans; and an enhanced relations between the two countries.

Jong-Un thanked Trump for making the historic summit, saying: “Today we had a historic meeting and decided to leave the past behind… the world would see a major change. I would like to express my gratitude to President Trump to make this meeting happen”, reads a translated version of his verbal statement.

In his remarks shortly after signing a document, which Kim Jong-Un also inked, President Donald Trump said: “We’ve developed a very special bond. So people are gonna be very impressed. People will be very happy. We are going to take care of a very big problem and a very dangerous problem for the world. I wanna thank Chairman Kim. We spent a lot of time together… And I would actually say that it worked out for both of us far better than anyone would have expected.”

Speaking to reporters during a post-summit press conference in Singapore, President Trump also said: “We will be stopping the war games, which will save us a lot of money.”
