Mohamed Salah Voted Footballer Of The Year By Football Writers’

Unic Press UK: Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool FC and Egyptian forward has been voted Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers’ Association (FWA).

In a statement on its website, FWA said:

The Egyptian, 25, becomes the first African winner of the football’s oldest individual award, which has been running since 1948. Salah will be presented with his trophy at the 2018 FWA Footballer of the Year dinner, to be held at the Landmark Hotel in London on May 10.

Last month, the 25-year-old was named Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Player of the year during during the 45th PFA Awards at Grosvenor House, London.
