Unic Press UK: The United Kingdom Home Secretary Amber Rudd has quit.

For several weeks, Rudd had been under intense pressure to quit over the Windrush generation – the migrants who arrived on British shores from Caribbean countries (Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago included) between 1948 and 1971 but their legal status was changed despite living, working and paying tax in Britain for decades.

Amber Rudd’s position as Home Secretary became shaky, in the balance after she told the House of Commons last week that the UK government did not have any targets for deporting people, whereas there was a 2017 memo that clearly specified targets for “enforced removals.”
