Unic Press UK: Despite the UN Security Council unanimously voting Saturday in favor of a 30-day cease-fire in Syria and the Council’s demand for the end of hostilities in the war-ravaged East Ghouta, aerial bombardment occurred Sunday in Eastern Ghouta, Syria.
“… warplanes carried out 2 raids on places in the vicinity of al-Shifonyyah town, while the bodies of 5 casualties including a woman were recovered from under the rubble that was caused by bombing by warplanes on their house in al-Rihan village this afternoon, raising to 14 including 4 children and 3 women, the number of people who were killed in the Eastern Ghouta and documented by Syrian Observatory today as a result of the aerial and missile bombardment… a child was killed bombardment by a missile from a warplane on an area in al-Shifonyyah town, where the shelling caused suffocation among the citizens who were in the area.” (Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: 25th February 2018)
