Unic Press UK: Fulani herdsmen accused of maiming and killing many farmers and other locals in several communities in Guma local government area (LGA) situated on the north-eastern part of Benue State and in Logo LGA, Benue State, Nigeria.
It’s been estimated that seventy people were killed, though the account from a few locals was that the attackers, who attacked innocents on Monday, the 1st January 2018, killed more than fifty people based on a count of the bodies of the dead.
Reacting to the killings, the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, said: “The federal government and President Muhammadu Buhari must rise and give us protection to show that we are true citizens of this country.”
Reactions on Twitter
I heard Governor Ortom wept when he saw corpses of his citizens massacred by herdsmen. It might sound harsh, but can Ortom recall that only last month he smiled as he told Nigerians Buhari deserves a 2nd term? If Buhari gets a 2nd term, would there be people left alive in Benue?

20 people were killed in Benue by Fulani herdsmen, this people are getting more emboldened simply because they are seeing the body language of President Buhari.
Non of them has been arrested, killed or jailed by president Buhari.
Enough of the killings, Buhari has to go

I am deeply sad about the killings going on in Benue State. When will these killings by Fulani herdsmen stop? When is President Buhari going to act? Isn't the silence of the President suggestive?

What is it I am reading? That @PoliceNG shot innocent people who were peacefully demonstrating the heinous killing of their people by killer herdsmen? Does this mean @PoliceNG has joined ranks with terrorists?

For all who say Buhari must continue destroying Nigeria beyond 2019, my wish is that they experience the pain of 8m people who lost their jobs, Shites, IPOB supporters & the people attacked by Fulani herdsmen.
After that we will ask if they still think Buhari should continue.

There's nothing like "Herdsmen/Farmers' clash". That's a bullshit sugarcoating. These FULANI HERDSMEN are ETHNIC IRREDENTISTS who attack places UNPROVOKED and wreck havoc. They are being sponsored by FULANI OLIGARCHS in the Army,Politicians/Govt officials and Businessmen

With due respect to my very good Muslim friends, I find it quite sad & unfortunate that while Muslims in the name of Fulani herdsmen terrorists keep unleashing mayhem on innocent Nigerians, Muslim groups are only concerned about hijab-wearing & such other ephemeral issues

Buhari's son had an accident; all government/influential social media handles enter a compulsory fasting and prayers.
Fulani herdsmen massacre innocent people in Benue; government becomes deaf and dumb.
If you still think this government is normal, may monkey pox kill you!
