Fulani Herdsmen Killed Over 50 People In Benue State, Nigeria. [Updated]

Unic Press UK: Fulani herdsmen accused of maiming and killing many farmers and other locals in several communities in Guma local government area (LGA) situated on the north-eastern part of Benue State and in Logo LGA, Benue State, Nigeria.

It’s been estimated that seventy people were killed, though the account from a few locals was that the attackers, who attacked innocents on Monday, the 1st January 2018, killed more than fifty people based on a count of the bodies of the dead.

Reacting to the killings, the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, said: “The federal government and President Muhammadu Buhari must rise and give us protection to show that we are true citizens of this country.”
