Unic Press UK: The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmed Makarfi, Tuesday warned all the chairmanship candidates against offering/giving bribes to delegates during the party’s national convention that will hold in Abuja on 9th December 2017.
The party’s honcho, Makafi, issued a warning when many of the party’s supporters and the chairmanship candidates converged at the PDPs national secretariat to sign a peace accord.
By the peace accord, which all the chairmanship candidates were required to sign, all the candidates have a duty to support whoever emerges as the National Chairman of the party as long as the process is transparent, fair and free, and conducted in accordance with the provisions of the constitution of the party and guidelines of the National Convention. And, no candidate shall leave the party or encourage his or her supporters as a result of the outcome of the national chairmanship election.
