U.S., North Korea ‘Lost Their Way’: China Foreign Ministry

Unic Press UK: The United States and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, DPRK, (North Korea) have ‘lost their way’ in pursuit of national security, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a daily briefing on Monday, reports Global Times.

“The essence of the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue is the security issue… national security is the intent of the US and North Korea, but they have lost their way in chasing that goal and tightened the knot. Relevant parties should show greater sincerity, sit down and talk to increase mutual trust, find an effective solution to peacefully resolve the nuclear issue”, Hua Chunying said.

U.S. President Donald Trump, who sometimes addressed the North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-Un as ‘Rocket Man’, recently took to Twitter to denounce the position of the U.S. Secretary of State on having a constructive dialogue with the national authorities of the DPRK.

While addressing the 72nd Annual United Nations General Assembly in New York on 19th September 2017, Trump threatened to annihilate the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea), saying:

“The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea. Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime. ”

The Supreme Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-Un, reacted to Trump’s address at the General Assembly. Kim Jong-Un said

“As a man representing the DPRK and on behalf of the dignity and honor of my state and people and on my own, I will make the man holding the prerogative of the supreme command in the U.S. pay dearly for his speech calling for totally destroying the DPRK… Whatever Trump might have expected, he will face results beyond his expectation. I WILL SURELY AND DEFINITELY TAME THE MENTALLY DERANGED U. S. DOTARD WITH FIRE.” (Kim Jong-Un: 22nd September 2017)
