Patience Jonathan Drags EFCC To Court, Prays For ₦2 Billion In Damages

Unic Press UK: Patience Jonathan, the spouse of a former president of Nigeria, has dragged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to court, accusing the law enforcement agency of violating her fundamental rights.

The plaintiff Patience Jonathan is praying the court to order the EFCC to pay her ₦2 billion [£4.2 million] in general damages and compensation, inter alia.

The suit, which is before Judge John Tsoho of the Federal High Court in Abuja, will be heard on 16th November 2017, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Patience Jonathan is the wife of former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan.
